I've been making art since I was a child in the 1980s. I started with traditional media. Then, I began to make digital art on the family's Apple IIe computer in the early 80s. Between 1995 and 1996, when I was a senior in high school, I was the art club president.
In 2005, I started to make fractals. In 2021, I began making other digital art forms as an adult.
I write music and improvise every now and then. I've been doing this since I first played a guitar and piano when I was a child. I also like to make loops and beats.
I wrote a few haiku and senryu poems when I was younger. Unfortunately, I didn't save them. On May 30, 2022, I started to write them frequently and have been saving them in multiple places. I've also written some haibun and some flash memoirs. I hope to learn more about writing poetry and flash and microfiction as time passes. My goal with this website is to publish my art, fractals, poetry, music, and writing. I will also share other images, poetry, or writings that are in the public domain.

i was a wizard who had a spell-working wand in last night’s grim dream
i stepped on a toad and waved my magic baton – it came back to life
This is based on one of the dreams I had on July 23. In the dream, I was a wizard with a magic wand. I carried the wand on my back. I accidentally stepped on a toad and killed it. When I felt it, I lifted up my shoe to see the dead toad stuck to the bottom of it. I felt terrible and very saddened and sickened by what had happened. I pulled out my magic wand and moved it in circles above the toad while repeating, “Come back to life!” over and over again. The toad returned to life once more. I felt glad.
When I was a child, my mother and father would take my younger sister and me to see fireworks for the Fourth of July celebrations. I was not too fond of the loud noises because they startled me. So, I would always cover my ears with my hands to avoid the terrible sounds. The pyrotechnics were pleasant to observe visually, nevertheless.
These days, as an adult, I avoid fireworks whenever I can. To this day, when an unexpected bang is heard in the house as neighbors light fireworks, I jump in my seat. But, I still try to shield my ears. I’m just like the many pets that feel anxiety because of fireworks.
Luckily, I live in a condo, and the homeowners’ association has banned fireworks in the neighborhood. However, in surrounding blocks, some people light them, so I am not free from them entirely. The good news is that our two kitties do not seem to be bothered by them.
Fireworks are unavoidable. They happen every year and sometimes without warning. Occasionally, randomly they will occur throughout the year as people use their leftovers. It never fails that I get startled, especially when the fireworks are unexpected. I would be better off without fireworks, and I’m sure many furry or feathered creatures would agree with me.
Fractals are astonishing, intricate patterns you see in nature, like ferns, snowflakes, and coastlines. They’re also present in the branch-like structures of trees, the veins of leaves, and the shape of lightning bolts. But did you know that you can also find fractals in the world of computers? That’s right, two frogs made fractals on a computer, and you can, too!
In a world full of seemingly random shapes and patterns, it’s nice to know that some things are still predictable. So we were thrilled to see two frogs making fractals on a computer.
For those who don’t know, a fractal is a shape that can be divided into smaller parts, each of which is a scaled-down version of the whole. And these two frogs seem to be masters at making fractals.
We don’t know about you, but we find it pretty amazing that two frogs can create such beautiful patterns. So if you need us, we’ll be here admiring their handiwork.
The frogs sat before the computer, their eyes wide with anticipation. This was their moment of glory. Finally, they were going to create fractals!
The first frog hopped onto the keyboard and started clicking away. The second frog followed suit, and soon, they made beautiful patterns on the screen.
They worked for hours, never getting tired. The patterns they created were mesmerizing, and people worldwide came to see them.
The frogs were happy to share their work with everyone and continued making fractals until they cramped up from all the typing. It was a good thing they enjoyed it so much – because they would be doing it for a long time.
